Dmitry Borodaenko

Dmitry Borodaenko is the founder of the Circle of Light. A technologist, an activist, a poet, a community organizer, Dmitry: gathered the first professional Linux team in Belarus; built one of the first relational storage backends for Semantic Web; launched Indymedia Belarus; organized Linux Vacation / Eastern Europe conference; helped Fuel project join OpenStack Big Tent and served as its first elected Project Team Lead; created Barley ephemeral image-based bare metal provisioning system; earned PhD in Computer Science from Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics; worked as Production Engineer for Instagram and as Site Reliability Engineering Manager for Twitter.
